5 Lessons from a Cancer Thriver
As I celebrate my 8 year end of chemotherapy cancerversary, I want to look back on lessons I have learned along the way.
In this episode I share:
The 5 discoveries that I made over the last 8 years that have helped me to navigate life with cancer.
Here's a sneak peek at them:
1. Be grateful every day.
Finding something to be grateful for even when things are hard can lift you up and help you move forward.
2. Be vulnerable.
It takes vulnerability to look cancer square in the face and decide to ask for help, accept support, accept the diagnosis, look for a different way to live in the now and into your future.
3. Caring for your self is a 3 part process.
Nurturing and supporting your body, mind, and spirit are a critical part of the healing process.
4. Say yes to fun.
Having fun is allowed and is so good for you as you navigate cancer.
5. You can do anything you put your mind to.
A lot of the work is actually in how you choose to think. How you talk to yourself. How you move from indecision to decision.
